If you’re reading this, there’s a good chance you’ll soon be spending some time with one of our wonderful ICU Teachers.
We can’t wait to meet you, before we begin, we’d like you to know something very important…
There is nothing you have to be good at.
There is nothing you have to get right.
There is nothing you have to prove.
You don’t have to see anything.
You don’t have to feel anything special.
You don’t have to be like anyone else.
You only need to be yourself.
Because that’s exactly who we’d love to meet.
This Is Your Journey
Every child who comes to ICU Academy has their own special journey. Some children become more confident, some feel calmer.
Some discover they can concentrate more easily, some become more curious.
Some simply have lots of fun, every experience is different.
There is no right way or wrong way, whatever happens for you is exactly as it should be.
Discovering More About You
At ICU Academy, we enjoy exploring together. You might notice things you’ve never noticed before, you might learn new ways to relax.
You might discover new ways of thinking, you might surprise yourself.
Or you might simply enjoy spending time with your teacher and making new discoveries along the way.
We believe that everything you need is already inside you, our job is simply to help you discover more of it.
Your Blindfold
During the programme, your teacher will invite you to wear a comfortable blindfold during the ICU activities.
Everyone’s experience is different, some children discover they can recognise colours, words or objects while wearing their blindfold, some children don’t and that’s perfectly okay.
The most important part of the programme isn’t what you can do, it’s how you begin to feel about yourself. If you leave believing in yourself more than when you arrived, that’s something truly wonderful.
Just Be You
Come with an open mind, bring your curiosity, a smile if you can and most importantly bring yourself , because you are already amazing just as you are.
