Hi, we’re really happy you’re here.
If you’re reading this, it means you might be spending some time with an ICU Teacher and we want you to know something important straight away.
There is nothing you need to be good at, there is nothing you need to do perfectly and there is nothing you need to see or feel in a certain way.
At ICU Academy we explore you and notice things together. You might discover new ways of feeling, understanding or you might simply enjoy being yourself in a friendly space.
Every child’s experience is different and that is exactly how it should be. Some children feel more relaxed, others feel more confident, happier, calmer or more curious and some just enjoy the experience and time together.
All of these experiences are welcome and you don’t have to try hard or make anything happen, you can join in and see how it all unfolds. We believe that you already have everything you need inside you, the sessions are simply a place to help you notice that in your own way.
You will be given a blindfold to wear and the ICU teacher will guide you through each session. You will develop at your own pace and please remember that some children can see with a blindfold on and some don’t. The most important part of this programme is that we help you to understand what it is to be you and that you feel comfortable with that.
We’re really looking forward to meeting you and spending time together.
